Samosa & pakoras are items that can be considered as fast food in Asia mostly but it is also available in market in the other countries.

People have been making it for centuries and basically pakoras are an advanced form of potato chips i.e. potatoes are mixed with chopped onions and spices and then deep fried in vegetable oil.

Samosa is also a food item similar to pakora, it is made of thin wheat flour or chickpea flour kneaded into small flat breads and spiced potato inside it.

It is taken later and eaten with sweet and curd sauce. Sauce is an essential ingredient of samosas and pakoras.

In IBS, the patient has to take special care to avoid such food that can make him show the symptoms.

Pakoras and samosas are not suitable for IBS at all. Immediately after eating it, the stomach starts cramping, gas begins to form and the stomach starts to feel irritated.

The patient’s sleep is disturbed and the stool does not come properly, i.e. it comes haltingly or there may be a complaint of constipation.

Most of the ingredients used in pakoras and samosas are not suitable for IBS and the symptoms will appear .

If this is happening to someone, take the medicines prescribed by the doctor as soon as possible, along with ice cream.
