What is Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)?
IBS is a disorder in which the person can face constant diarrhoea, constipation, indigestion, gas, cramping in the intestines, pain in the colon etc. Due to the appearance of these symptoms, the person try to take medicines for reduction of these different types of symptoms. But in early days he doesn’t know what is happening to him. Sometimes he gets constipation and sometimes he gets diarrhea. Now the important thing is that these people should not take there symptoms lightly. They should know that this is a disorder in which their digestive system is affected and this is called IBS. It is a chronic disorder. If it happens to a person, it can stays with him for the rest of his life.
Now the patient tries to reduce the symptoms that are causing anxiety in him, so the patient uses different methods to reduce them i.e., Taking medicines. Apart from that, he exercises and participates in sports. Keeps himself busy and improves his diet.

Grapes and Irritable Bowel Syndrome
As we know that IBS is a chronic disorder in which the patient usually suffers from gastrointestinal discomfort such as gas, indigestion diarrhea and constipation etc. It has different types i.e., IBS-C, IBS-D, or IBS-M.
Grapes are a fruit that is rich in nutrients, vitamins and minerals. It is a fruit that is low in fructose sugar and is known as a Low FODMAP fruit. You know the low FODMAP is a food that contains carbohydrates that can be used by IBS patients. But it is very important to know what type of IBS the patient is using grapefruit.
IBS-D and grapes
There is a type of IBS-D in which the patient gets diarrhea although grapes are a low-FODMAP diet. But not suitable for IBS-D patients. These can cause indigestion, stomach irritation and diarrhea in the patient.
IBS-C and grapes
IBS-C is a type of IBS in which the patient has to face constant constipation and due to this constipation, the patient may also have gas and pain in the gut. Grapes are high in water content and can be soften the food in gut and will less problematic in the bathroom. A balanced amount of grapes grapes consumption is suitable for IBS-C patients.
In what condition should grapes be eaten?
Grapes should be used when they are fully ripe and full of water. Grapes should not be eaten in large quantities. Similarly, check the grapes and observe that what verity is suitable for you for management of IBS.
What to do if IBS symptoms appear due to eating grapes.
- Ice cream should be eaten.
- Tea made with Fennel, cinnamon, cardamom tea should be used.
- If the symptoms are still not reduced, use the medicine prescribed by the doctor.
