What is Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

IBS is a disorder in which the patient suffers from various symptoms such as abdominal pain, cramping, constipation, and diarrhea. And he is unable to live his normal life. Due to the lack of complete treatment option for IBS, the patient is suffering more and the patient continues to endure the symptoms. 

The patient is inclined towards a diet that will benefit the patient with IBS. The causes of IBS are not yet known, but it is certain that lower Fodmap diet doses may help reduce IBS symptoms.

What is a lower FODMAP diet?

A lower Fodmap diet is a diet that can help reduce the symptoms of IBS. Before we understand the lower Fodmap diet plan, we need to understand the high Fodmap diet. A high Fodmap diet plan is a diet that contains carbohydrates and it does not help in the normal function of the digestive system. And different types of symptoms like gas are brought to the fore inside the stomach.

Similarly, lower Fodmap diet contains carbohydrates but does not allow the bacteria in the gut to ferment as much as it does in high-fodmap food.

Below is a list of what is known as the high fodmap and which play an important role in bringing on the symptoms of IBS.

The results for the above diet may vary from person to person but it does not give good results due to the high food map in IBS patients.

In IBS people want to take selected diet that give favor to them in lower the symptoms and Low fodmap is the best option.

Low FODMAP foods that may be beneficial for IBS patients

Below is a recipe that may benefit IBS patients.

Recipe No. 1

  • One breast of farm chicken.
  • Crushed garlic and half a spoon of rice vinegar.
  • A little grind ginger
  • Salt to taste.

First, mix the vinegar, black pepper, salt, ginger, garlic and coat it on top of the chicken. Keep it in the fridge for an hour, fry it in a little oil, add a little water and steam it. Your chicken is ready. This can be helpful in IBS.

Recipe No. 2

Take four pieces of salmon. Mix oil, black pepper, salt, two lemons and keep it in the fridge for two hours. After that, heat the oil and fry it and steam it for fifteen minutes. Your salmon is ready. And it may beneficial in IBS.

It is important to note here that for some patients such foods are very good and show less symptoms. But on the other hand, some patients may show these symptoms. The basic and best method is that you will first test which food is suitable for you in IBS, then you start using it. It is from your personal experiences that you can know the compatibility of a food correctly. That is, if a food does not suit you, you should give up its use.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome is a chronic disorder, it is painful but not life threatening. Try to live with IBS by adjusting food content, behavior and with relaxed mind.
