Strawberry is a fruit that is grown all over the world. It is red in color and has small seeds. The taste of this fruit is sweet and sour. It is famous all over the world for its benefits. In this way, it also plays an important role in maintaining human health. Such as increasing the blood, meeting the lack of calcium and reducing the amount of cholesterol. In addition, it is useful for the eyes. The immune system. It also plays an important role in strengthening. Strawberry can use in various ways. It is also used by making salad and making jam. By using gym, the body gets a lot of energy. The fruit of strawberry ripens in summer. But keeping it in high heat can spoils it, so many people store this fruit in very low temperature. The juice is also very useful for the human body. Due to its slight sour taste, salt is used to improve its taste. Apart from this, strawberries are also used in making ice cream.  

What is IBS?

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is a disorder in which the patient has to face difficulties in leading a normal life. Symptoms of this disorder vary from person to person. Its changing symptoms cause mental distress and anxiety for the patient. Due to this, the patient changes his lifestyle to minimize the symptoms. There are three types of IBS, IBS-C, IBS-D, IBS-M. Symptoms of this disease include cramping in the intestines, burning in the stomach, pain in the colon, gas, indigestion, constipation and diarrhea. Can I eat Strawberry while I have IBS?

Strawberry is good and healthy fruit for normal healthy person, but for IBS patient it is not very good. Generally, Strawberry cause abdominal issues for IBS patients. After eating there can be cramping, gas and abdominal discomfort can occurred.

Some peoples reported that this fruit can not cause most severe attack of IBS, but there will be mild symptoms can appear. Strawberries excessive consumption is very harmful for the stomach it IBS patient has empty stomach and it can start cramping and abdominal discomfort. 

IBS-C and Strawberry

In IBS-C, the patient experiences severe constipation. If the patient eats strawberries, it can help in reducing constipation due to IBS-C because it has properties to soften the food. But on the other hand it can create abdominal discomfort too. It can give some benefits when you eat it with other food that is favorable in IBS. 

IBS-D and Strawberry

IBS-D is a condition in which the patient has diarrhea. If the patient has IBS-D and consumes strawberries, the symptoms may worsen. There will be cramping, abdominal pain and discomfort may occurred. One thing is more important less ripened and sour strawberry may leads to severe IBS symptoms.

What kind of strawberry can be eaten?

 IBS patient want to eat strawberry than following points are very necessary for consideration.

  • Eat well ripe strawberries.
  • Consuming too much juice can cause stomach upset. So, eat less amount.
  • If already symptoms are present than avoid to eat this fruit.
  • Strawberry milk shake and after favorable food consumption can be adjustable.

What I can do if facing IBS symptoms due to strawberry?

There are many situation in this regards, and according to the situation you have to manage your self. If there is IBS-C, you can eat with other food items mixture. on the other hand in IBS-D avoid to eat it. But if you have eaten it already and facing symptoms following some solutions.
