How to make a hot bottle for IBS

You can use a glass or plain plastic bottle to prepare a hot water bottle. You start heating plain water and make sure that the water does not get so hot that it starts boiling. Just heat enough as the body can bear this.

You place this bottle on your stomach with the help of a towel and keep moving. After a while, the gas inside your stomach will be more diffused and the heat will cause movement in the digestive system. It will give you some relief.

Why use only hot water?

Water has the ability to absorb heat and retain heat longer.
You can put something like a warm cloth on your gastrointestinal track. But doing so will soon transfer the heat to your stomach and you will have to bother to reheat it. So you heat the water.

Do this and put it in a glass or plastic bottle and place it on your stomach with the help of a towel. This will make it easier for you.

Disadvantages to using hot water

  • If you use too much-boiling water there is a chance of burning.
  • It is important to note that the water should be warm enough to withstand your body heat.
  • You can use a hot water towel of 60 to 70 degrees Celsius.
  • You should not use hot water at all when there is already a lot of movement in your digestive system. That is, if you have diarrhea, you are going to the washroom after a while.
  • You should only use this method when your stomach is upset and your arteries are blocked.
Or on the other hand, your colon is hurting.
