Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is a disease in which the patient has various symptoms such as abdominal pain, colon pain, sometimes gas, sometimes diarrhea, sometimes constipation, and the patient is suffering from a strange irritating condition.

IBS patients are in all over the world and their number is increasing day by day. The number of women who get IBS is more than men.

Since there is no cure for IBS and scientists have yet to find out its original and underlying cause, the IBS patient has to focus on reducing his symptoms. Because the symptoms keep changing, the patient has to change his lifestyle, as well as change his behavior and also change his eating habits. By doing this, the pain and other symptoms of IBS can reduce. But it is true that IBS patients cannot live like normal people.

Full meals in IBS

Consuming a balanced and adequate diet is the guarantee of a normal and healthy life. But if a normal person does this, he leads a peaceful life. But on the other hand, an IBS patient needs to be very careful about his diet.

A patient with IBS should also consume a balanced diet along with a selected diet. That is, a diet that minimizes the symptoms because once the symptoms appear, they are unlikely to go away, 24 to 48 hours are required. Therefore, IBS patients are very careful about their diet. As for overeating and overeating is not ideal for IBS patients, regardless of the type of IBS. If you have IBS-C or IBS-D or IBS-M, you may experience symptoms if you consume large amounts of food on a full stomach.

Doing so will cause confusion and discomfort in the stomach. That is, when you eat food on a full stomach, confusion will start in the stomach, which can continue until the food or waste leaves the body.

Full meal eating and mental distress in IBS

If you have a full meal and you also have any mental problems for some reason or you have gone into some kind of anxiety, then the chances of severe IBS symptoms will increase. And if once the symptoms begin to appear, they must be tolerated until the ingested food is eliminated from the body.

What should be done if the symptoms of IBS are appearing due to eating a full stomach?

If the symptoms of IBS are appearing due to eating a lot of food, use the medicine prescribed by the doctor. Use only those medicines that you are confident about and are already using regularly.

As for self-managing your symptoms, you can do it according to your symptoms. So put dates in hot water and drink it. Likewise, if gas is forming in the stomach and the digestive system has stopped, turn the hot water bottle over the stomach. Similarly, you should try to sleep as soon as possible at night. Due to this the parasympathetic system activate so gut is also active, and the waste reaches the large intestine quickly.

You should drink deionized water on a full stomach. Drink so much that you cannot drink more. If you are sitting down to eat, remember that when the food is inside your body, you may have problems. Therefore, IBS patients should never eat a full or large amount of food. They will only eat as much as is convenient for them.
